Well, as everybody now knows, Taylor Hicks is the new American Idol. Early on in the competition I didn’t think he had a chance. I thought that he was a little too original for mainstream tastes. I’m happy to report that I was wrong, and, on a side note, I now have the maturity to admit that I’ve been wrong many times in the past, and, you can bet I’ll be wrong a lot in the future. That’s just how life works.

Anyway, congrats to Taylor! WOOOOOOO! Soul Patrol!

Well, this evening Elliott Yamin got eliminated. Sort of a sad thing, but, somebody’s got to go. I wasn’t exactly surprised with the result. Actually, what was perhaps surprising was just how close the American Idol voting was for the top 3! Each had 33% plus change. That’s as close as it gets! Really, I thought Taylor Hicks would have had a larger margin, but, oh well……. as for Katharine, well, she’s in the finale….. Okay, Elliott was cool, so here’s a bunch of Elliot Yamin videos:
