"The Wonderful One!"

Kellie Pickler, aka, "The Wonderful One," came out in the casual, country outfit of jeans and a pink shirt, and, it was pretty apparent that she was ready to rock! And, it wouldn't be long before she was even kicking her leg up in the air. Yes, indeed, this was one spirited and marvelous performance!

Now, Suds In The Bucket is by Sara Evans. I had never heard the song before, but, I instantly loved it! And, once again, I thought to myself: "This is the best Kellie performance yet! The thing is... as I've said before, I just keep having that same thought every week!

Kellie's really got such a wonderful tone to her voice, and, she just seemed to be having a really good time. You can tell that she's really comfortable with the country genre, and, thankfully, the Idol show stopped trying to change Kellie's naturalness with fake eyelashes and so forth and they just let her be herself!

What was cool this week is that you could really see Kellie was having a good time. I like the emotional content of the song as well. Check this lyric:

She was in the backyard - they say it was a little past nine When her prince pulled up - a white pickup truck Her folks shoulda seen it comin' - it was only just a matter of time Plenty old enough - and you can't stop love She stuck a note on the screen door - "sorry but I got to go" That was all she wrote - her mama's heart was broke That was all she wrote - so the story goes.

I love songs that tell a story, and, a singer is often, essentially, a story teller. Kellie's body language (and karate kick : ) ) nicely corresponded with the emotional content of the lyrics!

As I said, I loved the performance. The judges, this week, weren't as impressed with Kellie's work... not like previous weeks, but, that's okay... Kellie wasn't in the bottom three, so, it's clear the fans were into it! I know I was! Speaking of the bottom three, that was a bit surprising as well: Katharine McPhee was down there! ... with Ace Young and Lisa Tucker. Lisa was eliminated. She's a talented and wonderful young lady and we wish her the best!

As far as Kellie, we can't wait to see what she does this week!

Then again, we can never wait to see what's coming next from Kellie Pickler. And, we especially can't wait to see Kellie on the American Idol tour and we can't wait to get Kellie's cds and we can't wait to see Kellie's videos on Mtv too! Thanks for all the fun! See you next week. God bless!
